The Pound arts centre, Corsham, welcomes two incredible festive shows this Christmas and invites you to join in the fun!
Veteran Pound Arts performer, Nick Cope, wows his audiences with hilarious and often whacky songs about ‘Pirates’ Breakfasts’; ‘Little Grey Clouds’; and ‘Little Green Bogeys’. Children love him and their parents enjoy a trip down a childish-memory lane when his surreal show comes back to town. This Christmas, Nick returns with his Fun Family Festive concert (14 December, 11am), guaranteed to have you all giggling into the New Year. Expect new songs about head lice, hedgehogs, redundant robots, saving the polar bears and honey bees, gender stereotyping….the list goes on.

If it’s more traditional festival magic you’re looking for, right up to Christmas Eve Tessa Bide and Soap Soup Theatre present ‘The Selfish Giant’ (21-24 December, 11am and 2.30pm)
Grinter the giant shuts herself away in her cold house, surrounded by huge snowy gardens, enclosed by high, frost-covered walls. Outside the children discover a chink in the giant’s wall changing the course of their lives forever.
Inspired by the touching children’s story, The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde, Bristol’s two leading family theatre experts combine forces to explore an unusual friendship, and how even the grumpiest giant’s heart can melt when spring finally comes. Expect powerful storytelling, captivating puppetry and a sprinkling of theatre magic.
