Melksham Oak Community School’s Bella Cousins has raised money for the Little Princess Cancer charity, helped by her mum, who is a hairdresser at ‘Glow Barbers in Melksham.
The big-hearted 12-year-old had 13 inches of her hair cut off to raise money for the cancer charity. Bella said, “I wanted to do this because it helps people with cancer and it’s nice to help others. I would also love to be a NASA engineer.”
Earlier this year the inspirational student was a part of a team of five, including fellow student, Lillie-Ann Bruton, who sent off a successful debugged code in Python, to the NASA international space station, sent from Mead Community Primary School. The photos took every 5 seconds and are now proudly framed in Bella’s bedroom.
Principal Alan Henderson said, “Bella is truly inspirational and we are very proud of her charity raising and her work as a budding NASA engineer.”
