The Melksham Gardeners’ Society had a talk from Peter Ingram from The Painted Tongue Nurseries in Bradford-on-Avon on propagating, seeds and layering.
The group report, “Peter gave us practical demonstrations whilst teaching us about the practicalities of all three disciplines, dropping in useful tips and tricks as he went. A lucky few got some of the plants that he had brought along to demonstrate on and he answered numerous questions from the audience. Funny, detailed, informative and a useful talk – thanks to Peter for this.
“The next meeting will be on Tuesday 31st March at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm for our AGM. This will be followed by a talk by Peter Holloway about cultivating fuchsias.
“New members and guests are always welcome with our annual membership of £10 for 2020 – this has stayed the same for a few years, so is incredibly good value.
