A LOCAL reupholstery business has raised nearly £500 to support Ukrainian refugees by making and selling cushions in the colours of the Ukraine flag.
Owner of Payne Re-Upholstery, Nathan Payne, has also made yellow and blue armbands to sell to local football teams, including Melksham Town U8 Hurricanes, who his son Levi Payne plays for.
“We have been making cushions to sell for £5 each, with 100% of the money going to the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis. So far to date we have raised £495 with orders still coming in.
“We have bought all the fabric and cushion inserts out of our own pocket to help with this cause. We have made and sold 65 cushions, six armbands for our son’s football team, Melksham Town U8 Hurricanes, and 10 armbands for the Bromham football t U13 team. We have also had people donate extra money for the cushions and make a donation without having a cushion. Thank you everyone!”
