IT is nearly time for Melksham Music and Drama to perform their latest pantomime, Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs, directed by Donna Ruderman and produced by Joeanne Londors.
The pantomime is written by David Crump and Paul Simcox and tells the story of Red Riding Hood’s evil stepmother Ursula, who is keen to rid herself of Granny and Red, so that she can inherit Granny’s fortune. She recruits the Big Bad Wolf (who is busy trying to capture the Three Little Pigs), to help her and chaos ensues.
Along the way the audience will meet Bark and Trunk, the incompetent woodcutters; Will the woodcutter – a principal boy; Fin, the pig farmer who is in love with Red; and Derek, Rodney and Albert Trotter – Three Little Pigs.
The show is at the Rachel Fowler Centre on 15th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th February with evening performances starting at 7:30pm and matinees on Saturday 17th and Saturday 24th February starting at 2:30pm; doors will open half an hour before the show starts.
