AWARD-winning Melksham micro distillery, Ten Hides, has launched a very special gin for the festive season.
Handcrafted in the stills beside the River Avon, Ten Hides Orange Gin is described as Christmas in a glass.
Distillery founder Andrew Wilson has created a unique blend of botanicals to mix with the London Dry gin which includes orange blossom, mandarin and sweet orange peel, kaffir lime and kumquat, as well as cinnamon bark, nutmeg and angelica.
“All the evocative scents and flavours of Christmas in one bottle, or a perfect stocking filler miniature” said Andrew. “It has a lovely fruity hit on the nose, followed by the rich taste of citrus flavours. A real Wiltshire warmer.”
This £39.50 limited edition gin can be found on the website (www.tenhides.com) or, in a number of local outlets such as Lowden Farm Shop, near Atworth; Hartley Farm Shop, Winsley; and Allington Farm Shop near Chippenham.
To celebrate Christmas, there will be an open day for the public at the distillery at 14 Avonside Business Park on Saturday December 14th running from 1.30pm to 6pm. All are welcome to go along to look around, meet the team and sample the products, including the brand-new festive orange gin.
