The Warminster Independent Summer Market on Sunday 29th June (10am to 4pm) is set to be the biggest event yet with more than 150 stalls and food vendors and a wide range of entertainment in the High Street, Market Place, Weymouth Street and in the Civic Centre.

This year sees an expanded entertainment schedule as well as a new food court with seating and popular bars with visitors and residents invited to enjoy a whole day exploring Warminster.

Entertainment acts include Imogen Hopwood, Warminster Community Choir, Jane Bennett, and Kittens Unplugged as well as further entertainment planned at The Old Bell Hotel.

The independent markets have quickly grown in popularity, championing local business and have quickly established themselves as must-visit popular events for all.

Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Andrew Cooper said: “This is set to be the biggest-ever independent summer market with more than 150 stalls outside and inside the Civic Centre.

“Changes have been made to improve the visitor experience as we continue to push forward, grow these events and continue to attract visitors and residents to enjoy our town. We are encouraging people to make a day of it and see what wonderful Warminster has to offer.”

Roads will once again be closed in the High Street and Market Place with a diversion in place.

People are encouraged to walk to the event if possible as parking will be in high demand.

Parking will be available at Wiltshire Council car parks around Warminster. Public toilets will be available at The Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB.

For more information on the Warminster Independent Summer Market, email events@warminster-tc.gov.uk or visit the Warminster Town Council website and social media pages.
