On the pitch, Town put five past Falmouth Town on Saturday 27th in a 5-1 thrashing of the Cornish side. Goals from Harry Gray on four minutes and Robbie James on 11 minutes saw Melksham race into an early before being pegged back midway through the first half.
A brace from Jake Andrews on 36 minutes and a penalty on the stroke of half-time gave the Black and Yellow a comfortable 4-1 lead at the break. Jamal Lawrence wrapped things up on 63 minutes for Town’s biggest win of the campaign in front of over 500 fans.
Disappointment followed with a 3-1 home defeat to Didcot Town on Monday evening 29th September. The visitors took the lead on 56 minutes before a Josh Bennett equaliser three minutes later.
But two goals in injury time saw the visitors return back to Oxfordshire with all three points.
