Melksham schools raise funds for Children in Need

Schools across Melksham marked this year’s Children in Need by holding a variety of fundraising activities.

Pupils at Aloeric Primary School took part in a sponsored spell-a-thon and a goal-a-thon, and created Pudsey artwork for the school.

Bowerhill Primary School pupils came to school dressed as their favourite fairytale characters. Deputy head Rachel Amor said, “This idea was chosen by our school council children. A great day was had by all staff and children alike.”

Children at The Manor Primary School filled a giant Pudsey template with coins, which were then donated to the charity. They were also invited to go to school in a Pudsey-themed non-school uniform.

Children at Forest and Sandridge Primary School also took part in a non-school uniform day to raise funds for the annual event.
