A reunion celebrating three of Wiltshire’s legendary nightclubs from the 1980s and 1990s will take place in Westbury this month.
The Reflections, Oscars & Diggers Reunion will be held on Saturday 19th September at the former Reflections nightclub, now operating as Venom.
The event will bring together former clubgoers and DJs of Reflections in Westbury, Oscars at Longleat near Warminster and Goldiggers in Chippenham.
Organiser Chris Freeman said the reunion had been inspired by conversations with former clubgoers and DJs, with Reflections now the only one of the three venues still operating.
“We felt the time was right to bring everyone together and celebrate the memories of these three iconic venues,” he said. “Don’t miss this chance to be a part of Wiltshire clubbing history!
“The event is aimed at people who used to attend these three venues back in the 80s and 90s.
“Many people would have met their current partners, husbands, wives and friend networks at these venues, so it will be a great opportunity for them to come together again, hear the music they remember and relive some of those special nights.
“The reaction so far has been absolutely incredible and has far exceeded expectations. Ticket sales are well in excess of over 400 in advance with many more people expected to attend on the night either by purchasing tickets or on the door.
“A lot of people have been commenting on the social media pages about their fond memories of these venues, of the music, of their friends or family and of great times.”
The evening will feature music from the 1980s and 1990s, including party favourites and dancefloor classics, with the venues’ music and decor designed to recreate the atmosphere of the era.
All of the DJs performing previously played at one or more of the three venues, with some coming out of retirement especially for the reunion.
“The event is aimed primarily at people who attended the clubs during their heyday but is open to everyone,” added Chris.
