A Melksham club for residents with additional needs is inviting more people to join its activities.
The Inclusive Social Club welcomes people aged 16 and over with autism, disabilities and learning difficulties, as well as those who experience social isolation.
The group hosts sessions most Tuesdays at Melksham Town Football Club, aiming to bring people together and help them build friendships.
Activities include bingo, karaoke and seasonal celebrations.
Sessions cost £5 per person. Carers and support workers attending in a supporting role are admitted free of charge.
“Social isolation and loneliness can affect anyone, but for adults with additional needs, finding somewhere they feel comfortable and accepted can be particularly challenging,” said Nikita Bray from the group.
“We believe Melksham deserves a community where nobody feels left out.
“Our club is about so much more than activities. It is about building confidence, encouraging independence, creating meaningful friendships and giving people something positive to look forward to.”
The schedule can vary, so people are advised to check The Inclusive Social Club’s Facebook group for confirmed dates before attending.
