A LOCAL man has come to the rescue of the Melksham Tourist Information Centre after their Father Christmas sign went missing.
After hearing about the appeal to return the sign, which is used to promote the sale of charity Christmas cards at the centre on Church Street, Melksham man, Alan Wright, set about creating a replacement sign. Alan presented his handmade sign to the team earlier this week, and it now has pride of place outside the centre.
Tourist information centre team leader, Andrea Smart, told Melksham News, “On behalf of everybody at the centre, I would like to thank Alan for his generosity and kindness – it is very much appreciated by us all.”
