Thousands of knitted and crocheted poppies will be displayed around Holt as the village’s Remembrance cascade returns for its third year.
More than 10,200 poppies have been made by local women for the display, which will see them draped from St Katharine’s Church and placed around the village.
The display will begin on Saturday 24th October and run for four weeks, raising money for The Royal British Legion.
After the poppies come down, Holt Crafters will recreate their knitted and crocheted Christmas tree on Ham Green. It will be lit up at the end of November and raise money for Dorothy House Hospice until the new year.
Holt Crafters member Helen Gray said, “Do visit Holt for both events, we have two great pubs and a fabulous coffee shop for refreshments during your visit.”
