A Melksham business with more than 70 years of history has entered a new era with the opening of its purpose-built showroom and workshops on Lysander Road, Bowerhill.
Nortree was first established in 1952 by two local men, Norman and Trevor. Combining their names to create “Nortree,” the pair set up shop at the Coach House of the Kings Arms in Melksham Market Place.
From the very beginning, their business was rooted in hard work, community spirit, and a shared vision to serve local motorists.
As the company grew, it relocated to Beanacre Road, where it proudly operated for around half a century. For generations of Melksham families, Nortree became a trusted name for quality vehicles, reliable servicing, and personal customer care.
Today, Nortree continues that proud tradition in its brand-new, state-of-the-art showroom and workshops at Bowerhill.
While the facilities may be modern, the values remain the same: customer service, trust, and a passion for motoring.
“This move represents the next chapter in our story,” said the Nortree team. “From Norman and Trevor’s vision in 1952 to where we stand today, we have always been committed to serving our community.
“Our new facilities mean we can continue that tradition, while embracing the future of motoring.”
The people of Melksham and beyond are warmly invited to visit the new Lysander Road premises and see how a business born in the town more than seven decades ago is continuing to thrive.
