GREAT Bulkington’s private miniature railway will be open to the public this Sunday for train rides for adults and children of all ages.
Staionmaster Nev Boulton said, “The ‘diesel’ powered train rides will be available this Sunday, 1st April, from 1pm until 4.30pm.
“There is a thousand feet of railway track, a 40 foot long tunnel and lots of workings signals. We have ride-on carriages for our passengers. You can go twice round the track for only £1 – or there is a season ticket for unlimited rides for £5! All money raised from the miniature railway goes to local charity Wiltshire Air Ambulance, we take no expenses.
“Light refreshments will be served by the ladies of Christ Church in the village hall in aid of church funds. We are located on the corner of Mill Lane in the village of Bulkington, (near Seend) next to the village hall, use SN10 1SW for your sat-navs. Toilets and shelter (if it rains) are available in the village hall.
“We also operate private birthday parties with two hours of train rides from the village hall for up to 20 children (bring your own party food) for £140.”
