ALOERIC Primary School has recently taken part in the Melksham School Swimming Gala and held a successful Summer Celebration Fair.
The school reports, “a team of 13 year 5/6 swimmers took part in the Melksham Schools Swimming Gala. Matthew Bayley, Erin Tarrant, Oliver Clyde, Billie Cooke, Jessica Moore, Lisa Coombes, Nicole Hanman, Abraham Hadjjeri, Zach Flippance, Charlie Cooke, Luke Preston, Sarah Clark and Lucy Schiers all swam superbly to retain the Aloeric School crown, as Melksham winners once more!
“The team was up against tough competition from St Mary’s, Forest & Sandridge and Bowerhill schools. A great morning’s swimming was had by all. Well done to all the pupils and a special thank you to Mrs Dodge for her excellent training and organisational skills!
“Aloeric had a very successful Summer Fair on Friday, with a wide variety of stalls, attractions and talented pupils showing their dancing and sporting prowess. A huge thank you must go out to all parent and staff volunteers who helped to make the event a success and especially to Ms Jeffries for her excellent organisational skills!
“So far they have raised in the region of £700, but are sure that the final figure will be much higher. They thank everyone for their for their support, and look forward to putting the money to good use for all children of Aloeric. “
