FOR the first time in over thirty years, the members of Amnesty International Bristol will hold their annual garden party online, due to Covid-19.
The event will take place on Sunday 2nd August – 3pm to 5pm.
Grab a cup of tea and a piece of cake, and enjoy the essence of the usual Goldney party as we share live music, tussle with a quiz (with some special guests!), and announce the winner of the cake baking competition (see below).
Alongside the fun, we will highlight some important Amnesty campaigns, and welcome the chance to hear Kate Allen, Director of Amnesty International UK, answer local members’ questions.
The event will be streamed live on YouTube here:

Calling all bakers
If you would like to enter the cake competition, get your apron on and start baking. Send in a photo and description of your tasty creation with an #AmnesTea sign next to the cake.
Send it to amnestybristolgroup@gmail.com or Tweet us at @amnestybristol
The best looking cake will win a prize, and the winner will be announced at the end of the Online Goldney Garden Party – good luck!
This is a free event but, as it’s a fundraiser, donations are very welcome so we can continue our work standing up for human rights around the world.
