EXPERIENCE Avon Gorge in Bristol from a different perspective – by abseiling down the iconic landmark.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is holding its first ever abseil and is looking for adventurous people to take part and raise funds for its essential lifesaving service.
The abseil takes place on Sunday 14 April and Kenresa Stratford, events co-ordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance said,“We are very excited to offer an abseil in our events calendar this year.
“Those who take part will be treated to some incredible views of Avon Gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge, while abseiling 200 feet down the gorge.
“We are working with qualified instructors from JT Expeditions who will guide our participants down safely, allowing them to enjoy the view as they descend. It will be an unforgettable experience, while at the same time raising funds for Wiltshire Air Ambulance to help us to continue saving lives.
“If you’ve always wanted to do an abseil, we think this is an event that will certainly appeal to you.”
It costs just £25 to sign up to the abseil and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
