You’ve heard of flower festivals and Christmas tree festivals, now St Michael and All Angels’ Church, is hosting an Angel Festival to mark St Michael and All Angels’ Day, or Michaelmas, on 29th September .
Rev Barry Blackford said, “We would like to invite organisations in the town to take part. The theme is ‘Angels as Helpers.’ Can you create a 2D artwork, minimum of A3 maximum A1, or a 3D sculpture, maximum 120cm in any direction, then why not take part? All works to be mounted on a board.
“These will be blessed during the 10.15am service on Sunday 28th and then be on display for the week between midday and 5.00pm for people to come and see them.”
