MELKSHAM Without Parish Council hosted their Annual Parish Meeting earlier this month.
At the meeting 41 local groups, organisations and initiatives were given a grant by the parish council, totalling £17,350.
Clerk for the parish council, Teresa Strange said, “Melksham Without Parish Council held its Annual Parish Meeting at Shaw Village Hall, with reports on what has happened in the last year (lots!) and plans for next year (also numerous!)
“There was a great turnout with lots of interested residents and a really warm, positive atmosphere. Such great dedication shown from so many different volunteers representing a huge range of community groups working hard in all the various communities. The evening ended with the presentation of cheques of grant funding.”
