MELKSHAM & District Seniors 55+ Forum will be showing The Lady in the Van at Melksham Assembly Hall on Monday 21st March.
This is another opportunity to see, The Lady in the Van staring two time Oscar winner Maggie Smith. The film was shown at Melksham Assembly Hall recently and 369 people brought tickets.
The film tells the true story of the relationship between Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins who ‘temporarily’ parked her van in Bennett’s London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years.
Their unique story is funny, poignant and life-affirming. Doors open at 1.30pm and screening starts at 2pm.
