MELKSHAM Town Council has announced the appointment of a new chief officer.
New town clerk, Linda Roberts lives locally and will take up the post on 1st January 2019. She has over 20 years experience in local in local government as a town and parish clerk and more recently as head of conferences training and education with the Society of Local Council Clerks.
Linda said, “This is an exciting opportunity for me to work on home ground and I am looking forward to supporting the council in delivering the many projects that are currently planned for the future.
“Working in partnership with the local community, I believe that we can deliver outstanding services to the residents of Melksham.”
Mayor of Melksham, cllr Adrienne Westbrook said, “There are so many big plans taking shape within the town and I am delighted that we have been able to secure someone with vast experience who will manage those plans to conclusion.”
