The art on display this month is a colourful exhibition by a number of artists, including John Hughes, Alan Padwick, Sarah Padwick and Norman Drake.
The ArtHouse says, “The styles and subject matter of the paintings vary enormously and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“Some of the artists in more detail:
“John Hughes, also known as JonA comes from South Wales and took up watercolours about 6 years ago. He moved on to oils and now says, “I can’t wait every day to pick up a paintbrush.”
“Alan Padwick has been an enthusiastic artist since childhood. He has illustrated a number of children’s book and his biggest recent project is a large mural at Green Lane hospital in Devizes.
“Sarah Padwick paints mainly landscapes, and miniatures in watercolour on ivorine. She also enjoys painting in pastels, especially for landscapes and subjects with interesting moods.
“To discover more about these artists, and to view the entire exhibition, visit the Arthouse during opening hours, sit and enjoy a cup of something, and lose yourself in the atmosphere.
“We would like to thank Pattie Lockett for coordinating the art this year, along with Sarah Stead.
“Are you a local artist who would like to display your creations? There is some space in the exhibition diary for more local art to adorn our walls in 2019. All media types considered. If you would like to be added to Pattie’s list of artists, please come to the ArtHouse café and fill in the application form.”
