THE Melksham Assembly Hall’s schedule is packed full of events over the coming weeks from a rock show, quiz night and a brand-new George Michael tribute show plus more, here’s what is in store, and how to buy tickets…
On Friday 17th March, Giants of Rock take to the stage with two bands paying tribute to rock legends. The Guns ‘n’ Roses Experience (GnRe) and Pure Jovi perform rock classics.
Organisers say, “With a true Guns N’ Roses sound and stage show, GnRe meticulously recreate every visual detail and every musical note to capture that reckless, dangerous spirit of the original Guns N’ Roses’ legendary live performances. And for Pure Jovi, organisers said, “Expect all the hits and more, played to exacting standards, note for note and a stage show equalled by no other. Get ready for a crackin’ night of all Bon Jovi’s greatest hits! Featuring Livin’ on a Prayer, Wanted Dead or Alive, Runaway, Bad Medicine and many more!”
On Sunday 19th March, lace up your roller skates for ‘skating fun, games and great music.’ This is a family skating session for all ages and abilities.
The History of Soul will take the stage on Thursday 23rd March. Organisers say, “The History of Soul is a celebration of Soul music through the decades. A night transporting you through the greatest eras of Soul. Featuring such artists as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and The Temptations and many more.”
The Assembly Hall quiz night returns on Thursday 30th March. Organisers say, “The biggest and best Quiz Night around is back! Put together a team of up to five players for just £5 (one ticket required per team), arrive early to get a round in and get your quiz on!
On Saturday 1st April, a George Michael tribute will perform in the new touring show, GM Live. Organisers say, “This joyous new show celebrates the music of one of the best singer songwriters of all time, the incredible George Michael. This ultimate tribute concert features full live band and is a heartfelt and authentic tribute that takes audiences on a musical journey of George’s greatest hits and high energy Wham tracks.
