Church Farm looked as though it was being transformed into a motor museum when three old cars trundled down Church Street on June 24th at the beginning of Atworth Camera Club’s annual outing led by David Webb.
This featured a 1946 MG TC, a 1925 Austin 7 Convertible and a 1941 Dodge Six Series D21 Coupe.
After we had photographed the old cars, together with stylishly dressed models, David took us round parts of Church Farm to see the old barn, which has beams reputedly older than those in the Bradford-on-Avon Tithe Barn, and the new milking parlour where the cows are able to get milked automatically as and when they choose. In another barn there were also some newly born calves.
On Monday 29th July we will have an Audio Visual show by Joe McNeilage, and if time permits members will be able to show some of their pictures on our current project theme, “Water”.
In August Derek Mason will be covering the basics of Lightroom, including organisation of the image library, colour management and editing.
For our September meeting, Jon Lomas will be showing a film he made for the BBC called “New York & Paris – The World of Abbott & Atget” two pioneers of photography.
Atworth Camera Club is open to all, whether experienced or a starter looking to improve. Each meeting costs £2 with refreshments included, and there is no joining fee. Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 7:30pm in Atworth Village Hall.
