ATWORTH Camera Club’s August meeting (Monday 28th), was given over to members to allow them to showcase the pick of their summer images.
There was a wide range of subjects including Bath’s umbrella displays; peacocks at Corsham Court; the colourful waterfront at Nyhavn in Copenhagen; Birdworld at Bourton-on-the-Water; and many more
After the break for tea and biscuits, we were treated to some stunning images of birds in flight, especially white tailed eagles; and a number of monochrome and infrared photographs covering subjects such as storm waves breaking in Cornwall. The meeting was so well supported that some members had to hold their images over for a future meeting.
The club’s theme for the coming season is “Autumn”, with pictures to be shown at the November meeting. To help with this, a visit to Silk Wood at Westonbirt has been planned for one Sunday in October.
The club meets in the Atworth Village Hall & Institute on the last Monday of each month at 7.30pm.
Future meetings will include the production of audio visual slide shows (Bridget Sawyer), and members’ images of autumn.
The meetings are open to all – young, old, experienced, new starter, and as ever, the more experienced members will always be happy to discuss any issues that other members wish to address. All this for just £2 per meeting.
