AVON Bowls Club is hosting an open day on Saturday 20th April and everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never played before.
“If you have never played bowls before, now’s your chance,” says a spokesperson for the club. “Why not give it a go and come along to our Open Day on Saturday 20th April between 2pm and 4pm .The invitation is open to all ages and you will be more than welcome .
“The club has qualified coaches to help you learn to bowl and no experience is needed,. All we ask is that you wear flat shoes and we will provide everything else.
“We have regular club nights, which are held on Monday evenings from 6pm to have a roll-up and to socialise with other members. Social events are held throughout the year including quiz nights and bingo evenings and the popular Friday coffee mornings from 10am to 12pm, begin again on Friday 5th April.
“The club also welcomes current and new members to the opening of the green for the 2024 season on Saturday 13th April at 2pm.
