AT the recent Atworth Annual Parish Assembly, owners of the White Hart, Atworth, Kirsty and Nathan Cortilla, along with Margaret Bagnell, received awards for outstanding service to the ‘community of Atworth.’
Chairman Effie Gale-Sides said, “Margaret was a founder of the Over 55s Afternoon Tea, and for five years has worked hard as an organising team member, treasurer and welcomer.
“Her warmth and dedication are the main reasons that the group is successful and flourishing. Margaret received a beautiful certificate and a bottle of wine.
“Kirsty and Nathan have helped our whole village for very many years by supporting our organisations and projects, and by putting on regular events for us to enjoy throughout the year and always done with a very welcoming smile.”
Receiving a certificate, flowers and chocolates, Kirsty responded with “Thank you, wow! We’re honoured. Thank you. We are more than happy to accept it, it means such a lot to us.”
