FOLLOWING the success of his back garden London Marathon, Melksham resident Robbie Newton is now taking on the back garden RideLondon!
Robbie said, “You may be aware, RideLondon (which I was cycling for Macmillan Cancer Support) has been cancelled due to Covid-19. Not wanting the training to go to waste, I have decided to cycle the 100 mile distance in my back garden on an exercise bike dressed as #charitymorphman.
“I have worked out this could take anything between six and eight hours to complete, starting at 9.00am, Sunday 16th August.
“You will be able to follow live progress via the Facebook event page – https://facebook.com/events/s/charitymorphman-vs-back-garden/2978267615 43106/?ti=cl although staff won’t have access to the site during work time.
“Macmillan is a charity close to my heart, I’ve seen their good work close at hand as they have helped both friends and family.
“Any donations are appreciated by both me and Macmillan Cancer Support in these strange times, my page can be found here – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/charitymorphman
