DO you have a few hours to spare each week? Do you enjoy working with young children? Would you like to help girls discover their full potential?
Melksham and District Girlguiding is looking for unit helpers and/or leaders for their Rainbow Unit (girls aged 5-7), who meet every Tuesday during term time, 5.30-6.30pm.
Additionally, if anyone is interested in starting up a new Melksham Rainbow Unit, the group does have a lot of girls wanting to join Rainbows and another unit in the area would mean more girls get to join sooner.
Sarah Askew said, “Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them a space to have fun.
“Guiding happens thanks to more than 100,000 amazing volunteers from all backgrounds, ages, cultures, faiths and abilities.
“Our motto is, ‘We are for all girls. We give girls their own space. We give girls a voice. We change as the lives of girls change.’
