A COUPLE from Holt recently raised £500 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Melanie and Keith Wareham held a joint party to celebrate their 65th birthdays which were a month apart, but instead of gifts they asked for everyone to give a donation to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Melanie said, “We wanted to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance because they do such a fantastic job and rely on fundraising. You never know when you or someone you know might need them, so it’s a worthy cause.”
The couple held an evening disco at Semington Village Hall and raised £500.
Melanie continued, “I was absolutely amazed at the amount we raised. I couldn’t belive it when I was counting it. We didn’t expect to raise that much so we are both very pleased.”
