THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall in the coming weeks.
This Friday, 11th October, Classic BRIT Award winners, Blake – who are Stephen, Humphrey and Ollie – are back with their ‘Movies & Musicals’ tour.
Promoters say, “Featuring the most celebrated music from stage and screen, plus all new songs from their latest No.1 selling ‘Anniversary Album’. This is the trio’s biggest tour in over 10 years!” Tickets are £22.50.
On Saturday 12th October, DS:UK bring the experience of one of Dire Straits’ most iconic concerts and albums to the Assembly Hall.
Promoters say, “Alchemy was the first big live album, recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in July of 1983 during the last two shows of the ‘Love Over Gold’ tour.
The tour included selected hits from their albums to date including Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet and Private Investigations and also featured many other fan favourite songs that didn’t make it onto the live Alchemy album itself.
dS:uK will be playing the concert in its entirety throughout the 2019 tour – with the affection for the music, and the attention to detail that the band are known for, making them a must-see show on the UK tribute scene. Don’t worry though – we’re not going to miss out the band’s biggest tracks from later years as well!” Tickets £18.
On Friday 25th October, the Assembly Hall welcomes boxing legend Frank Bruno MBE for an ‘evening with’ show.
Promoters say, “This is an exclusive one night only opportunity to spend an evening with one of the greatest sporting legends in British history, Frank Bruno MBE. Following comedy from one of the UK’s best comperes, Johnny Tait, Frank will be interviewed live on stage and will answer questions about his battles both inside and outside of the ring.
“Later in the show Frank will take questions from the audience in a candid Q&A session.” Tickets are from £25.
Also coming up at the Assembly Hall are Rock for Heroes on Thursday 14th November, and a John Lennon tribute show on Friday 22nd November.
