Lifestyle and community liaison lead at Blenheim House Care Home, Chris Guest, has won NAPA’s National Activity Providers Association ‘Activity Leadership Award’.

Chris was presented with his award at a virtual awards ceremony held earlier this month.
The care home reports, “Ever since his arrival at Blenheim House Care Home in Melksham, Chris Guest, our wonderful lifestyle and community liaison lead has always gone above and beyond to make sure that the resident activities are truly one of a kind!”
“He’s introduced innovative, stimulating and engaging activities and at the forefront of these are what Chris calls ‘resident-led” activities’. Dedicated to creating personalised memories, “resident-led” activities always begin with Chris and his wonderful team taking the time to learn life histories, passions & hobbies, past, present or desired…each journey begins with a conversation, a shared memory and laughter.
“Through sharing memories and passions, a relationship is created and true friendships develop, enabling Chris and the activities team to create a unique ‘resident-led’ experience, that is often shared and enjoyed by everyone in the Blenheim House community.”
About his award, Chris said, “What an amazing achievement for Blenheim House Care Home! My heartfelt thanks must go to our home manager, Mirko and the Majesticare senior leadership team for their continued trust, belief and support…and most of all to my brilliant activities team at Blenheim House for delivering exciting and unique life enrichment sessions for our wonderful residents!”
Home manager, Mirko, has praised Chris’ passion and constant dedication to delivering outstanding activities to residents and how he has led his team with great knowledge.
Mirko added, “Chris empowers both our Blenheim House team and residents to be innovative and creative and to feel empowered about the life enrichment within our home.”
