A Christmas event – ‘Bless Melksham at Christmas’ – will be held in the Assembly Hall on Thursday 17th December, starting at 6.00pm.
“The aim of the evening is to portray the Christmas message in fun and exciting ways that will appeal to all ages,” said Pastor Tony Brown of the Bless Melksham Committee.
“This event is in two halves of about 50 minutes, with a short comfort break in between so that the performing aspect should finish at about 8.00pm.
“Our friends from ‘Rock of Life’, a wonderful Christian music group, will top and tail each half and there will be audience participation items led by the Bless Melksham Choir and Band.
“At the close of the performing part of the evening, we will have our Bring and Share refreshments and time to get together informally. It is hoped that, by closing at this earlier hour, the children will be able to stay throughout and there will be space in both halves for performances by children and young people.
“Sketches, songs and items are much sought after, so if you have a group that would like to take part, please get in touch with me to discuss the matter further.” Call Pastor Tony Brown on 01225 700599 or 07761 320840.
