MELKSHAM Assembly Hall is set to show more blockbuster films and live entertainment in the coming weeks.
The next cinema screenings at the Assembly Hall are: Friday 3rd April, 7.30pm, Selma (12A). Saturday 4th April, 10.30am, Big Hero 6 (PG). Friday 10th April, 7.30pm, Still Alice (12A), and on Saturday 11th April at 10.30am, Annie, (PG).
Tickets for morning showings are £3 for under 15s and £4 for adults. All tickets after 5.00pm are £6 each. Doors open 30 minutes before the show and there is a licensed bar, tea and coffees.
Synopsis:
Selma (12A): This unforgettable true story chronicles the tumultuous three-month period in 1965 when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. campaigned to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. Directed by Ava DuVernay and starring David Oyelowo as Dr King.
Big Hero 6 (PG): An action-packed animated comedy adventure from the creators of Frozen, Big Hero 6 follows the special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and human prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.
Still Alice (12A): Alice and her family’s lives face a harrowing challenge as her Alzheimer’s diagnosis slowly progresses to an inevitable conclusion they all dread. Along the way, Alice struggles to not only to fight the inner decay, but to make the most of her remaining time to find the love and peace to make simply living worthwhile. Starring Julianne Moore and Alec Baldwin.
Annie (PG): A girl who lives with her mean foster mom sees her life change when business tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Starring Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
