THE White Hart in Atworth has a whole host of events planned for the coming weeks for the whole community to get involved in.
This Saturday, 21st July, the pub will be hosting a charity breakfast club to raise money for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Organisers say, “Free tea, coffee and cakes on us, just leave a donation! Have a traditional English fry up or a vegetarian fry up for £8. Or try one of our breakfast rolls from £3.50.
“Browse our books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl and more, all from £1. Bring along your own dogs to help show support!”
The charity breakfast club is open from 9am to 12pm.
On Friday 27th July, the Boot Hill All Stars take to the stage with their original brand of folk/rock music, injected with ska.
The four-piece band are sure to have you dancing the night away with their high energy set that includes their songs ‘Night Bus’, ‘Crusty Girl’ and a cover of Boney M’s ‘Rasputin’.
The band play from 9pm until 11.30pm.
For this month’s ‘Village Get Together’ on Sunday 29th July, the White Hart is hosting a ‘end of school’ barbecue for our Village Get Together.
Organisers say, “We will be closing off part of our car park to make a secure area for the kids to play, with fun and games included.
“Come join us in the sun (hopefully) to celebrate the start of the summer holidays!”
The fun starts at 5pm.
