After last year’s success, the Bowerhill Buddies PTA Scarecrow Trail returns on Saturday 3rd May.
This year’s theme is Roald Dahl versus David Walliams and over 25 houses are taking part.
The event will run from 10am on Saturday 3rd May until 6pm on Monday 5th May.
Tackle the scarecrow trail in one day or pop back and complete it on the Sunday or Monday.
Trail maps are £5 per family (this includes a pencil). Sheets are now on sale at the Bowerhill Primary School office, and will also be available outside the main school entrance from Saturday 3rd May to Monday 5th May, between 10am and 4pm.
All completed entries must be posted through the school letterbox by midday on Tuesday 6th May for a chance to win some great prizes.
Chair Lisa Fudgell said, “Last year’s scarecrow trail was a fantastic success. We raised approximately £840 from the event. The support from the local community taking part as well as the residents who support us by displaying a scarecrow shows true community spirit.
“The money raised last year has gone towards our ongoing PlayPod Project.
“Bring your family and friends with you for some fresh air and get guessing whether the scarecrow is from a well-loved Walliams or Dahl story.
“Thank you to those who have spent hours making the scarecrows to display.”
