Bowerhill Primary School was an explosion of colour recently when pupils, teachers and volunteers raised £4,362 at the third annual Colour Run on Friday 27th June.
The event, hosted by the school’s Parent Teacher Association, Bowerhill Buddies, sees children run while volunteers cover them in colourful paint and spray them with water guns.
The school’s headteacher Chris Light said that it was the ‘best fundraising effort to date.’ He said, “We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Bowerhill Buddies for their commitment in bringing enjoyable experiences to our children, the Bowerhill staff for embracing the fun, the volunteers who help throw paint and shoot water guns. Most of all, the Bowerhill Primary School community for their hugely generous fundraising.
The money is going towards some very special projects that we have planned for the whole school, taking place this November.”
