SPENCER Melksham Bowls Club had a busy morning on Saturday 22nd April, as they welcomed new ladies to try their hand at lawn bowls.
Member of the club, Anne Hutchinson said, “As well as those ladies mastering how to deliver a jack then follow it up with a wood which had the right line and length, some of our own members were honing their skills in readiness for the upcoming season.
“A tight and competitive game ensued. Hopefully, some will return and if they do, they can be assured of a warm welcome and the chance to continue to develop their newly found aptitude for the sport.
“If you missed our event then come along to our general open morning on Saturday 20th May from 10am to 1pm. You will find us on the A350 heading out of Melksham. Whether you are new to bowls or would like to return to playing bowls, please come along and see what we have to offer.”
