BUSINESSES re-opening their premises can benefit from a COVID-19 Business Recovery Pack launched by Wiltshire Council.
The pack contains a round-up of government guidance, helpful tips on how to implement the guidance and safety advice posters and social distancing floor spots for businesses to use to keep their staff, customers and visitors safe.
These resources have been created to support businesses across the county as they adapt their premises to provide a safe and welcoming experience for customers. They also complement additional signage being used across Wiltshire high streets to encourage people to follow social distancing guidelines.
Cllr Philip Whitehead, Leader of the Council, said: “We want to help support businesses as they re-open and this helpful Recovery Pack and toolkit is full of useful tips and resources to give business owners and managers the confidence that they are re-opening their business safely and taking appropriate measures to reduce the spread of infection.
“Our staff also walked around our high streets yesterday talking to businesses about their early experiences of re-opening and to see first-hand any issues they were facing. We need to respond to these experiences and consider, where we can, what measures can be quickly put in public spaces to keep everyone safe. These could include additional signage, street markings, temporary barriers, changes to street furniture or parking arrangements.
“We want to use the £450,000 awarded by the Re-opening High Streets Safely Fund to support businesses and their customers further and it is important we do this in a co-ordinated way based on actual experiences to maximise the safety benefits for all.”
