VOLUNTEERS are still needed to help record the Melksham Talking Newspaper.
Chippenham & District Talking Newspapers, which produces the Melksham Talking Newspaper, needs help in their recording studio. Volunteers need to be willing and able to travel to Chippenham for two or three hours on a Thursday morning (weekly) or a Thursday afternoon (fortnightly) to run their recording software and operate the sound mixer.
The volunteer group has promised that the role is “easy to learn”, and that full training will be provided.
The volunteer group, which produces and distributes recorded audio news on USB memory sticks for blind, partially sighted and housebound people in and around Melksham, Chippenham and Malmesbury, returns to its studio in Chippenham this week, after over a year of recording stories from the homes of volunteers.
Anyone who feels able to help are invited to give volunteer Brian Heath a call on 01249 814005 or 07944 818971.
