THE Riverside Club is hosting its annual general meeting (AGM) this month and is appealing for volunteers to commit to supporting the future of the hall.
The AGM will be held on Thursday 30th September, at 7pm, in the Riverside Club.
Organisers say, “After more than a year – and some modernisation of the Riverside Club – the time has come for an opportunity to take this most accessible and valuable building back into full community use.
“The works that have taken place have been to redecorate the hall and entrance lobby, to have double glazed security entrance doors, to have black-out blinds on all the hall windows, to provide a good kitchen facility and easy to use fold up tables.
“The next stage will be to ensure that the hall remains the best rentable premises, for its size, in Melksham. To take this forward as we open up, there needs to be a committee of people with a vision and ability to keep on track.
“This AGM is your opportunity to be part of this exciting future. We therefore invite you to come to the AGM and duly consider whether this could be a small part of your commitment to give something to the community of Melksham.”
