AFC Melksham has won the Premier Division of the Chippenham and District Sunday Football League.
The Sunday football team won the league by an impressive nine points, with super striker Rhys Talmash scoring a 31 goals.
The club reports, “AFC also got to the KO Cup Final for the second year running, having won it last season, only to lose 3-2 to FC Box at Chippenham Town ground in what was a thrilling final.
“The one trophy that continues to elude them is the Wiltshire Sunday Cup. They were beaten by FC Lacock in the semi-final, who then went on to win it against DPR Swindon, 3-0. It was a great season that marked the retirement of manager Mike Roger, after 16 years, who passes on the baton to new blood Jorden Kirk, Sam Clarke and Aaron Wiltshire.”
