MELKSHAM Carnival has confirmed the date for this year’s procession and has launched a fundraising campaign to support it.
After a two-year absence from the town’s events calendar because of the pandemic, Melksham Carnival’s procession will return on Saturday 25th June.
“We can’t wait to see you!” says the carnival’s committee. “Keep your eyes peeled for updates on who will be joining us!
“There is already talk of people entering floats and walking groups, who have never done so before, and those who are regular entrants are already thinking of themes, costumes and decorations.”
To support the cost of organising the event, the carnival committee is hoping to raise £2,500 and is calling on the people of Melksham for their support. “Every penny helps make Melksham Carnival bigger and better,” says the carnival committee members.
