
THE award for Melksham’s Best Looking Business for Spring 2015 has been awarded to Casa Restaurant on Bath Road.
Nominations for the new Italian restaurant saw it described as classy, sophisticated, refreshingly chic, fresh, modern, with excellent staff, food and service’ and “it is elegant and understated but delivers a wonderful effect all round”.
Ilir Bakiji, the manager of Casa said, “We are so happy to receive this award of Best Looking Business, and would like to say thank you to the people of Melksham for the great support we have received in the three months that we have been here.”
Casa opened in Melksham in February this year and has proven a popular addition to the town. Terri Welch, the chair of Melksham Town Team who presented the award said, “It is a delight to have such a friendly, welcoming restaurant in town. And the food is brilliant.”
The award was created by Melksham Town Team to recognise businesses that make a special effort in their displays and general appearance which contribute to making Melksham a lovely town to visit.
Around 150 nominations were received, by email and on paper at the Town Hall, and Casa scored highest on nominations, with the Samovar Gift Shop in King Street in second place and Waitrose in third.
Nominations for the Autumn Best Looking Business Award will open in September.
