LOCAL youth charity, 4Youth (formerly Young Melksham) has received a £500 cash boost from Taylor Wimpey Bristol’s community outreach programme.
4Youth is a community youth organisation serving people from all backgrounds in the area. It runs youth clubs, undertakes detached youth work and hosts TeenTalk, an early help and counselling service.
The donation from Taylor Wimpey will be used to keep its services running, which have experienced increased demand due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 4Youth has received the financial support from the housing developer due to its proximity to its Pathfinder Place development in Bowerhill.
Chair of trustees from 4Youth, Jon Hubbard, said, “We are delighted and extremely thankful to Taylor Wimpey Bristol for its generous donation.
“It is thanks to this kind of cash injection that we are able to keep looking after the young people in the community, many of whom have found the last 12 months challenging, so we’re incredibly appreciative.”
Sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Bristol, Clare Brimble, added: “We are delighted to have been able to support 4Youth with a £500 donation. As a leading homebuilder, it is vital to invest in the areas within which we build and offer our support to the charities and organisations that really are at the centre of those communities.
“4Youth offers what we consider to be an essential service to their users, making a real difference to the people in Melksham and we are thrilled to be able to show our support with this cash boost.”
