Avon Bowls is holding its annual Celebrity Bowls Match at the Club, based in the grounds of Melksham House on Sunday 22nd May from 2.30pm.
“Among the celebrities attending will be local MP Michelle Donelen, who has found time in her busy schedule to visit Avon Bowls for the first time, and the Club can assure her of a very warm welcome,” said Pauline Baker, Publicity Officer.
“Together with the Mayor of Melksham, Terri Welch (recently re-elected to serve a third year) and other well-known personalities who have accepted invitations, the club anticipates an enjoyable afternoon, and of course members of the public are invited as spectators.
“It is also hoped that a representative from The Shed will attend and officially present to the Mayor with the wonderful garden bench which their members have made.
“Mayor Welch has asked Avon Bowls Club to be the custodians of the bench on her behalf, an honour which the club has been pleased to accept.”
