FIVE music students from Melksham Oak are organising a charity music concert which will be held at the Assembly Hall on Tuesday 22nd March.
As part of their BTEC music course, the students must organise a concert as well as perform in it.
All the money raised from the evening will be donated to Wiltshire Mind.
Kieran White who is one of the students organising the event said, “There will be five solo performers, but there will also be a number of ensemble performances throughout the night. There will be a variety of styles of music from country to rock.
“We have decided to donate the money to Wiltshire Mind because of the work they do for young people like us.
“We also noticed that they don’t receive a lot of funding from the main branch of Mind and that the money we make would be best spent on a charity that helps people our age with problems that some of us may have dealt with.”
Tickets; pre-ordered £3.50 adults, £2 concessions. On the door £4/£2.50. Available from Melksham Oak School and Wiltshire Mind charity shop in Melksham.
