THE Bell on the Common in Broughton Gifford is preparing for its Charity Christmas Carol Party and this year there will be a special musical guest.
Christmas is right around the corner and to get you in the festive spirit, Dougie and Trish at The Bell on the Common are hosting their first Christmas event on Friday 18th December.
Landlord Dougie Campbell said, “The Bell on the Common will be full of Christmas cheer on the 18th December and we can’t wait!
“The festivities start at 7.30pm with Christmas carols in the garden, huddled around our very own Christmas fir tree. Be sure to wrap up warm for this.
“Then head inside for a warm mince pie and get comfortable because we have a West End star bolstering the choir and singing some West End numbers and arias to add to the entertainment.
“Belinda Evans was a finalist in the BBC Show ‘How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria’ and has appeared in the Phantom of the Opera. From the West Country herself, she trained in Bath, so you can’t get much closer to home than a West End Star from the West!
“We are supporting Broughton Gifford Pre-School and Primary School at the event and have Christmas ‘Back With Jingle Bells On’ hoodies for sale in advance which will contribute towards the total. The local parents have really bought into the idea and are going to sing carols door-to-door in the village on the way to the event.”
There is no charge but donations will be welcome. There will also be a raffle on the night.
