WORK is under way for this year’s Christmas lights display – and the Melksham Christmas Lights Group have given residents a sneak peek.
Volunteer Rhys Dunn began the process of pushing 4,000 Christmas light pixels into a display panel that will form part of this year’s attraction.
This year, there will be no switch-on event due to the ongoing pandemic crisis, but the group has promised a lights display to remember, which will include an ‘immersive display’ in the Market Place.
The group has launched a fundraising campaign to help support this year’s display. So far over £650 has been raised of the group’s £3,000 target.
The group says, “We’ve got some great stuff happening in readiness for this year’s display, if you wish to help us by donating any amount, you can do so following the link at www. melkshamlights.com.”
